Conclusions
Standard DICOM is the standard of communication between machines in medical imagery.
This standard is complicated because she wants to be universal, adaptable and directed object. Moreover, the descriptive documents of the NEMA are very technical and thus difficult to apprehend. The standard is described in English and no translation was carried out in French, making it still more complex in our eyes.
However, DICOM allow a mode of very precise identification of each image emitted by our apparatuses of numerical imagery bus each image is associated technical, demographic and medico-legal information as well as a single identification number. **time-out** that make it possible to consider the diagnosis and the work starting from document numerical, and perhaps to give up the film, by its capacity to manage a great number of image without risk of mixture or of loss of information.
**time-out** however DICOM standardize only the communication
of program between machine already connect materially, this protocol
describe not the communication with a level physical (connector,
cable) nor on level of protocol network (TCP/IP, or other). Thus, the
respect of standard DICOM facilitate the communication but it
guarantee not.
We outlined a project of electronic négatoscope, in the form
of an application written in Java language which could be distributed
simultaneously with images DICOM of the patient. The advantage of
Java being " the portability ", the images can be seen
and treated on current computers, some is their mark and their
operating system.
